Description

• Database related software installation, configuration, tuning, and patching including Db2 LUW, PostgreSql, EFM, Pgbouncer. • Daily support for production and non-prod environments, proactive issue response, on-call production support rotation. • Maintain a high availability, reliable production environment. • Handle disaster recovery on planned or unplanned outages. • Monitor, capture, and performance tuning bad SQLs. • Capacity planning and scaling the system to fulfill fast-growing business needs. • Expand and shrink database storage. • Script and automate day-to-day tasks. • Provide consult service to engineers for table creation and SQL writing.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of DBA experience with 5 years of hands-on experience in IBM Db2 LUW. • Strong experience in Linux. • Solid shell scripting skill and able to write DB maintenance scripts for automation. • Experience in multi-data center, disaster recovery and high availability, business continuity. • Ability to identify and own tuning or maintenance items. • Troubleshooting skill - able to narrow down and pinpoint the root cause and provide the proper fix. • Ability to handle high pressure when dealing with production issues. • Efficient and meet deadlines for projects. • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or information technology, or equivalent years of experience.
