📋 Description

• The primary activity for the Research and Development Consultant will be to assist the Director of Research and Development to cultivate, maintain and communicate a thorough knowledge of the current utility vegetation management industry. • Responsibilities also include public speaking at Arboricultural conferences and contributing articles to industry trade publication. • The successful candidate will manage projects and provide support in several utility vegetation management-related areas. • These include strategic consulting, short-term field project management, and business analytics (e.g., industry analytics and market research). • This role will assist on existing contracts under the guidance of the Director of Research and Development. • This position is responsible for supervising project Consulting Utility Foresters (CUFs), project planning, organizing, and monitoring work processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources or related field • 3+ years of experience preferred • Supervisor experience is preferred but not required • ISA Certification or ability to attain within 1 year; Utility Specialist TRAQ credential preferred • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Interest and experience in urban forestry is preferred • Ability to work long hours (including evenings and weekends as needed) • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Extensive and demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
