Description

• Manages and directs all research financial and operational issues for the department • Oversight of grant and operating funds, including funding from multiple divisions • Preparation and oversight of department research budget, financial plan, and financial projections • Prepares and analyzes grant data reports • Provides data for research components of division strategic plan documents • Oversees the purchasing operation • Interpretation and communication of all University and government policies • Oversight of research payroll sourcing • Develops, implements, and maintains standard practices • Assures professional public relations and efficient handling of complaints • Can represent the department on University committees • Oversight of personnel issues • Prepares annual reports for research administration • Oversees preparation of monthly research newsletter • Oversees space system updates for all research-related space • Works with Facilities and maintenance staff for laboratory equipment maintenance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Financial Management, Grant Development, Or Strategic Planning Function (7 Years) • Supervisory (5 Years) • Skills: Academic Administration, Research Administration
