Description

• Facilitate the design of Yahoo’s design system, including visual style, UI components, and interaction patterns. • Establish and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and standards. • Collaborate with product designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and implementation of the design system across all products. • Conduct regular audits and usability testing to ensure the design system meets user needs and maintains a high level of quality. • Mentor and provide guidance to other designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design systems and user experience design. • Advocate for the value and importance of a design system to stakeholders across the company.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. • 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with experience working on design systems. • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating and maintaining design systems for large-scale products. • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools. • Excellent understanding of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design. • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for user-centered design. • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
