Description

• This position reports directly to the Service Manager. • Performs calibration services on machines and instruments with proper use of calibration tools and processes that comply with ISO and ASTM standards. • Prepares the calibration certificate and submits the same to the customer and follows up for outstanding payments. • This position directly interfaces with customers. • Calibration of ZwickRoell made machines and instruments at customer site. • Examples include but not limited to: calibration of force (loadcell) and elongation (crosshead, extensometer), Universal Testing Machines as per National and International calibration standards. • calibration of Hardness testers as per National calibration standards. • calibration of Pendulum impact testers as per National calibration standards. • calibration of Melt flow index Testers as per National calibration standards. • Prepare calibration certificates and submit to the customer on time and according to standards. • Follow-up with service administration coordinator regularly for on-time submission of offers for calibration proposals for renewal. • Prepare yearly visit schedule for calibrations. • Timely submission of calibration reports and checklist to the service administration coordinator for invoicing. • Report customer issues such as mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic hardware and software to the service department for handling by the field service engineer. • Assist and contribute to the planning process for customer visits in consultation with the service administration coordinator. • Regular attendance and timeliness is expected. • Possible overtime or weekend work needed. • Overtime, if applicable, must be approved in advance. • Other duties are assigned as needed by the jobholder’s supervisor. • Must have experience in measurement and analytical instruments or materials testing. • Experience with automated calibration software platforms. • Good communications skills. • Ability to work independently, goal-oriented and has a flexible approach to work. • Ability to work under pressure. • Willingness to undergo continuous re-training. • Possess a valid driver's license. • Position requires large amount of travel (up to 80%)

Requirements

• Associates degree or vocational apprenticeship • 7 or more months of job-related formal training needed • Over 1 year up to and including 3 years of job-related work experience • Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook required • Travel 80%-100% of the time/US and Canada
