• Driving profitable sales for the power utility business in the assigned territory. • Developing, implementing, and executing effective territory business plans. • Prioritizing your end customers, markets, and distributors to drive effective territory management. • Implementing promotions, and directives as set by division management. • Collaborating across other power utility territories and within other 3M EMD Divisions to meet customer needs. • This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.
• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and two (2) years direct sales OR electric utility industry experience in a private, public, government or military environment. • OR Associate's degree (completed and verified prior to start) and five (5) years of sales experience in a private, public, government or military environment AND current, valid driver’s license. • MBA is preferred. • Sales experience in the Electric Utility Market. • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills. • Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications. • Field/Channel sales experience. • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels. • Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within assigned territory. • Experience working in a matrix environment or large complex organization. • Strong computer skills, Database management: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce.com. • Strong oral, written and presentation skills. • Strong team player, ability to work effectively with peers.
