📋 Description

• Manage the onboarding process for incoming new staff, providing a seamless transition and communication throughout the process. • Manage the offboarding process for all employees to ensure all tasks are completed. • Complete I-9 Forms, verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files for all new hires. • Process background checks for all new hires and partner with the Director of People Operations on results. • Manage organization contact spreadsheet, organizational chart and directory. • Assist with filing Workers Compensation injury reports. • Assist with Worker’s Compensation and Unemployment Insurance quarterly filings. • Provide employee support with all questions and concerns including support for 401k inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts. • Administer the tuition and health reimbursement program. • Provide benefit support during open enrollment. • Assist the Director of People Operations with policy management and creation to support a positive work culture. • Assist with ensuring the organization complies annual training requirements (e.g. harassment prevention). • Collaborate with other departments to align talent strategies with overall business goals. • Utilize knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to provide support for all People Operations related functions. • Help advance our goal of becoming an anti-racist organization. • Serve as a resource to our networks of partners. • Take an entrepreneurial approach to their work and learn new skills.

🎯 Requirements

• Commitment to social change. Accelerate Change is a mission-driven workplace focused on civic engagement with BIPOC and low-income communities. • 2-3 years experience with key responsibilities: We’re looking for someone who has at least 2-3 years of experience with supporting Human Resources functional areas including Benefit Administration, Recruiting (Onboarding/Offboarding), Compliance, Performance Management, and Employee Relations. • Clear and Impactful Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Organization and Efficiency Expert: Excellent organizational and time management skills. • HR Tools Experience: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google workspace, HRIS such as Gusto, Trinet, Bamboo HR, and Workday. • Certification or Equivalent Experience: aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP preferred.

🏖️ Benefits

• $48,000 -$60,000 salary range, with exact salary depending on experience and new staff rarely starting at the top of the range. • Flexibility for work and life: Unlike a lot of places, we actually believe that people should only work 40 hours each week, except for occasional sprints that require more time in a week. • Health care at the beginning of your employment with individual premiums fully covered and cost-share for dependents. • Vision and dental plans are available at-cost to the individual. • Need-based educational loan assistance after 3 months. • 401K contributions and matching program available at the beginning of your employment. • 15 paid vacation days, 6 paid holidays, 3 paid floating holidays each year and 7.5 paid sick days each year. • Professional development funds, with renewal of funds each fiscal year. • Cell phone and internet reimbursement (or co-working reimbursement): We acknowledge that working from home requires using your own internet and phone for work purposes so we offer a set reimbursement amount for cell phone and internet usage. • Annual office closure during the last week in December.
