Description

• Active Minds is seeking an experienced, motivated and strategic Vice President of Finance and Administration to join its team. • Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Finance and Administration will be a key member of the leadership team charged with oversight and execution of all financial processes and procedures. • The VP of Finance and Administration is tasked with expanding thought leadership, cultivating and maintaining relationships, providing team leadership/management, and working cross functionally with the Operations Team and Active Minds departments. • This role is responsible for driving innovation, strategic thinking, and execution of all Finance and HR strategic priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or other certification in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA certification and/or MBA preferred • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and FASB topics as applied to nonprofits; must be familiar with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations • HR certification (e.g. PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP) is a plus • High level of financial and analytical skills and extensive knowledge of financial policies, practices, and nonprofit systems • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment, with at least 5 years of managerial experience in leading a team and mentoring staff in a high-growth environment • Proven experience in senior HR role • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, etc.) • Proven track record in the areas of planning, financial management and operational oversight • Strong interest in and commitment to the mission and goals of Active Minds • Must have Quickbooks “Desktop” experience; ERP and other accounting software experience a plus • Experience with Salesforce a plus
