📋 Description

• Active Minds is seeking an experienced, motivated and strategic Vice President of Finance and Administration to join its team. • Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Finance and Administration will oversee all financial processes and procedures, and strategically lead human resources across the organization. • The role is responsible for driving innovation, strategic thinking, and execution of all Finance and HR strategic priorities, ensuring that all members of the Active Minds team have the tools and resources they need to productively accomplish their roles. • The VP will directly oversee the Sr. Manager of People & Culture, Staff Accountant, and contracted bookkeeper.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or other certification in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA certification and/or MBA preferred • Thorough knowledge of GAAP and FASB topics as applied to nonprofits; must be familiar with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations • HR certification (e.g. PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP) is a plus • High level of financial and analytical skills and extensive knowledge of financial policies, practices, and nonprofit systems • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment, with at least 5 years of managerial experience in leading a team and mentoring staff in a high-growth environment • Proven experience in senior HR role • Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, etc.) • Proven track record in the areas of planning, financial management and operational oversight • Strong interest in and commitment to the mission and goals of Active Minds • Must have Quickbooks “Desktop” experience; ERP and other accounting software experience a plus • Experience with Salesforce a plus
