📋 Description
• Responsible for moderate to complex level tax accounting/withholding, reporting, analysis, audit, and year end activities • Review and resolve payroll tax error reports • Analyze and calculate retroactive tax, gross to net calculations including tax withholding • Process Improvement recommendations and implementations • Process W-2 Corrections and Reissues in accordance with IRS Regs • Review of payroll tax updates for compliance changes • Provide client support for escalated tax issues • Resolve employee tax data issues including tax data integrity assurance activities • Coordinate load of tax data by mechanical input feeds for implementation mapping • Process mass tax transactions (EIB) • Provide problem resolution support for tax related issues • Provide support for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures • Validation and balancing of tax data • Maintain employee tax records
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field • 5 - 7 Years Payroll Tax Experience • Recent W2/W2C year end experience including 3rd party vendors • Client facing interaction experience • Knowledge of payroll Tax analyst experience including multistate, localities and reciprocity • Strong attention to detail and execution • Strong verbal & written communication skills • Strong business acumen • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Strong business partnering skills • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of prioritizing workload to complete multiple tasks and meet aggressive deadlines • Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of a team • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows, and Excel • Workday preferred but not required • Case management tool (HRX, Siebel, SNOW) experience preferred.
