• Manage accounting functions on a day-to-day basis including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, procurement, and general ledger accounting with a small team of direct reports • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with all state and federal regulations • Prepare the monthly management financial reporting package, including variance analysis • Report operational data to key members of leadership team, including key metrics on all financials • Work closely with Senior Leadership to set the commercial and financial strategy of the company • Prepare the companywide annual budget for internal and external review through effective collaboration with business units and accurate forecasting of trends • Evaluate business unit performance against budget, assist with financial reporting of each business unit, and develop forecasts to provide an accurate projection of financial performance • Coordinate with the Head of Finance on any and all necessary tasks • Coordinate the creation of other ad-hoc financial reporting packages for company leadership • Manage the annual financial audit and tax return process performed by our independent CPA firm when applicable • Perform technical accounting issue research and resolution as necessary • Develop, analyze, document, and implement internal controls • Lead FP&A (financial planning and analysis) activities for the company • Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting and finance policies, processes, and procedures to comply with all state and federal regulations • Seek opportunities to revise or create new policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred but not required • 10+ years of operational accounting work experience, ideally in the entertainment, media, creative or technology sector • Progressively responsible financial leadership roles • Extensive experience in all aspects of corporate accounting and financial management • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong IT and technology aptitude to deliver effective reporting, analysis, and presentations, to include advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel • Ability to manage projects, work independently, and communicate effectively to all areas and levels of the organization • Great interpersonal skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both finance and non-finance personnel, including staff working in remote locations • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
