Description

• Assume responsibility for all finance and accounting policies • Supervise and manage the ERP system • Ensure that all financial transactions across the enterprise are recorded accurately • Ensure compliance with documented internal controls • Maintain the accounting manual • Oversee and support financial management and accounting staff • Lead the annual budgeting process • Regularly communicate with management and other team members • Review and present monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements • Act as the staff liaison for the Board of Directors Finance and Audit Committee • Deliver timely evaluations for proposals related to school improvement • Maintain or establish a comprehensive set of finance policies • Liaise with the Construction Committee

Requirements

• CPA or CMA required • 5+ years’ experience in nonprofit accounting • 5+ years of finance or accounting leadership/management • Proficient in using and managing NetSuite ERP • Experience with various platforms such as Navan, Bloomerang, ADP • Advanced Excel abilities • Fluent in English • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder • Must pass a background check • Must be able to travel to Rwanda at least 2 times per year • Experience working with global and remote teams • Experience working with schools or complex NGO/nonprofit entities
