📋 Description
• The Vice President of Development supports the mission of the organization by building a strong fundraising portfolio. • Collaborates in setting the strategic vision of US and Global Advancement. • Provides leadership to development staff and advances the vision and mission of the ministry in the community at large. • Directs the team to overall success by reaching goals for major and mid-level donor relationships. • Personally manages a major donor/prospect caseload. • Designs and implements a detailed, comprehensive, and effective strategic plan.
🎯 Requirements
• Experienced leader, with extensive background at a senior level in US fund development, including people leadership. • A strong track record in major donor development activities, including strategy development and personal donor management. • Full alignment with the mission and values of Alpha, and ideally experience of running or participating in an Alpha course. • A global mindset, ideally with experience of operating across countries and cultures. • Organized and structured, with the ability to manage complexity across jurisdictions (e.g. regulation) and to undertake detailed business planning activities, in partnership with other functions such as finance and impact measurement. • Strong stakeholder management skills to facilitate deep relationships with boards of directors, and across the global leadership team.
