β’ The Business Development Manager will build and develop business for Canada and other Altium plants. β’ This role requires an individual fluent in English and French. β’ They will be responsible for initiating, managing and expanding business with existing client base and strategic new accounts, while collaborating with team members to achieve sales targets. β’ Build relationships with customers and prospects to form strategic partnerships through sustainable packaging solutions. β’ Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, and transpose leads, reports, and projects into the CRM for maximum Altium exposure. β’ Strive for maximum close ratios on projects (50% +). β’ Develop a better understanding of machine loads and open machines capacity for plants within the network. β’ Attend relevant trade shows as required. β’ Develop new and niche opportunities where Altium is first or second to market, to maximize margin growth. β’ Lead the industry with new and innovative packaging solution ideas and implementation. β’ Maximize contract renewals and negotiate contracts for all new and existing customers. β’ Support customer service and mentor when required. β’ Continue to research market trends and offer suggestions on how to maximize sales efforts.
β’ Minimum 3-5 years of technical sales experience with a proven track record in a complex sales environment. β’ Bachelor degree required. β’ Must be fluent in English and French. β’ Ability to create key account plans and execute against them. β’ Heavy cold calling experience. β’ Competitive mentality β must enjoy the thrill of pursuing business and closing new accounts. β’ Strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills. β’ Ability to work well independently, energetic self-starter with strong work ethic. β’ Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others during development and implementation of processes and programs. β’ Travel up to 50% to visit accounts and prospects accordingly.
