Description

• Work directly with athenahealth executives to translate key corporate, product, and customer narratives into writing. • Build and manage executive thought leadership profiles. • Quickly produce high-quality writing. • Write and edit a variety of communications. • Work collaboratively with designers. • Develop rapport with key executives to effectively pitch ideas. • Move seamlessly between the “big picture” and tactical details. • Drive alignment among key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, creative writing, communications, or related field; • 4+ years of direct experience in an external or corporate communications role/function; • 2+ years interfacing, influencing, and partnering with senior-level stakeholders; • Experience making data-based decisions for communications strategies; • Expert level writing and editing skills. • Demonstrated expertise in organizational storytelling, executive communications, Crisis Communication, or Change Management; • Demonstrated ability to take independent actions and decisions to move projects forward; • Skilled at the art of non-programmed decision making; • Thrives when faced with challenges that have high levels of ambiguity; • Experienced with leveraging technology to scale impact and produce significant amounts of high-level content quickly.
