Description

•Lead, define and oversee production of content storytelling through short-form and long-form video content across the company – including social, digital, tentpole moments, brand campaigns, marketing and branded partnerships •Oversee and directionally guide the video team – guide decision-making, concept development, and feedback ensuring consistency and alignment of AU video strategy across every Athletes Unlimited season •Shoot and edit content across each of Athletes Unlimited’s sports based on organizational needs and department projects •Work with the Chief Growth Officer to identify and execute storytelling and content initiatives with external partners that further Athletes Unlimited’s brand awareness •Create and deliver presentations that compellingly articulate ideas to build acceptance and support from executive stakeholders •Ability to position and create video content for the intended channel and optimize accordingly with the social media team •Manage production schedule of video content in conjunction with producers and work with internal departments in meeting various project deadlines, hiring external freelancers as needed to meet deadlines •Route edits for approvals, and prioritize, organize, and communicate notes to internal and external editors •Ensure internal processes are being followed and work with producers and media manager to track the uploading of footage and edits •Approve expenses, budgets, and contracts for video projects in conjunction with the Finance, Legal, and Operations teams •Oversee external partners as needed as it relates to content production to align content to the AU vision, identify and negotiate rates with production and post-production service providers, and keep projects on track to overall strategy, budget and in alignment with the AU Brand •Collaborate with other AU department leads so that company-wide initiatives are accounted for in video team activities - in particular, Broadcast, Operations, Legal, Finance, Tech, Partnerships, PR, Marketing, and Directors of Sport

Requirements

•At least 5 years of experience as a video producer, with at least 2 years of leading a video team with proven success building and managing a team in a self-directed manner •Empathetic manager with experience driving positive cultural change in growth situations •A relationship builder with proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence and make decisions in a partner-driven, matrixed environment •Ability to direct all work, whether through external agencies, freelance vendors, or internal production resources, ensuring best-in-class work is delivered on time and within budget •Ability to multitask between strategic thinking and planning with shooting and editing based on department and organizational needs •Experienced and well-versed in all facets of video production process •Highly proficient in After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and Media Encoder •Knowledge of DSLR and mirrorless camera systems. (i.e. Canon, Sony, and RED Systems) •Extensive knowledge of current and emerging social media platforms •Excellent written and oral communication skills •Prior experience working for a professional sports team, league or college sports preferred •Flexibility to travel as required, approximately 1-2 weeks each season, and work non-traditional hours •May be required to and must be willing to perform other duties as assigned, to meet organizational needs •Legal authorization to work in the United States
