Description

β€’ The Payroll Coordinator at Axonius is responsible for all day-to-day accounting functions related to payroll and assisting with month-end. β€’ They also develop and manage systems, processes, and new policies around these functions. β€’ A key member of the accounting team, and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Payroll Coordinator also acts as the point of contact for all employee questions relating to payroll. β€’ The Payroll Coordinator oversees these functions so that the accounting and finance functions can operate successfully: β€’ Processes semi-monthly payroll for approximately 400 US employees (and growing), across multiple states β€’ Processes monthly payroll for approximately 100 employees across 13 countries β€’ Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures β€’ Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential β€’ Enters new hires, processes promotions, raises, bonuses, terminations, and all aspects of the employee life cycle β€’ Registers for new tax jurisdictions as we hire employees in new locations β€’ Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages β€’ Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests from employees β€’ Prepares monthly journal entries and assists with year-end audits on an as-needed basis β€’ Audits various HR connections to the payroll system for accuracy β€’ Performs other accounting/finance duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

β€’ Bachelors Degree, emphasis in Accounting or Finance β€’ At least 5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience in multiple states in a high volume and fast paced environment β€’ Must possess knowledge of payroll taxation concepts and terminology β€’ Hands on experience with ADP Workforce Now β€’ Solid Knowledge and application of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX/Internal Controls β€’ Commitment to protect confidential information β€’ Must have strong interpersonal skills and be customer service oriented, as well as experience fielding payroll-related questions from employees β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate with employees of all levels of the company. β€’ Develop strong relationships with business partners across the business, with an emphasis on the HR team. β€’ Energetic, highly organized and a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team β€’ Ability to manage time-sensitive projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams β€’ Strong project and process management skills
