Description

• Supports the Category Managers in maximizing value in assigned indirect category(s). • Responsible for sourcing goods and services and leading the contracting process with suppliers. • Manages supplier relationships and leads cross-functional teams in developing sourcing strategies. • Ensures MVH hospitals have an uninterrupted supply of goods, services, and equipment at the lowest cost. • Develops, implements, manages, and monitors supply network practices ensuring best value.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required. • 5-years of experience in purchasing cycles and buying processes is required. • Knowledge of purchasing regulations, legal compliance, policies and procedures with demonstrated advanced negotiations, contract and sourcing skills preferred. • Background and experience in at least one or more of the following sourcing categories: IT, Facilities, Legal, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, HR and/or Consultants. • Strong understanding of the veterinary health market, including products, services, and customer needs preferred. • Ability to understand and interpret key financial statements and components of ROTA preferred. • Understanding of and ability to conduct SWOT, TOWS Matrix, and/or Porter’s Five Forces Model preferred. • Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.
