• Manage all sales and sales-related functions for Basic Coatings including sales strategy, forecasting, sales training, territory management, performance goals, people development and P&L. • Responsibilities include developing and executing all key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve Basic Coatings financial targets. • Ability to understand and execute complex business issues and help Regional Sales Directors view their business strategically. • Achieve the annual sales plan by executing the programs to support the Market Focus of Distribution, Wood Floor Contractors and Education. • Ensure use of Salesforce.com and utilize key insights to develop pipelines and improve processes. • Develop, implement, and manage compensation programs for proper alignment with sales strategy. • Develops the Route to Market Strategy for the geography, inclusive, but not limited to, alternate channel strategies, new distribution additions, and contractors. • Responsible for executing the promotional programs delivered by Marketing to the sales organization. • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. • Ability to represent the organization at a variety of industry and non-industry events and serve as “face of the company”. • A track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas and targets for a minimum of 5 years.
• Bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in sales or marketing. • 7 - 10 years of managerial experience. • Proven track record of success in sales leadership, preferably in the wood floor coatings or related industry. • Strong industry knowledge and the ability to keep up with evolving market trends and technologies. • Exceptional leadership, motivation, and coaching skills to inspire and drive a sales team. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. • Proactive, strategic thinker with a strong problem-solving ability. • Results-oriented and driven to exceed sales and revenue targets. • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs. • Strong understanding of multi-channel selling strategies. • Knowledge and experience in consultative selling. • Leadership experience in managing selling organizations. • Proven performance management skills.
