Description
• The Nurse Navigator serves as the first contact for patients with positive breast cancer diagnoses. • Guides patients and families through the health care system from diagnosis through care duration. • Assists patients with access to needed services and tracks interventions and outcomes.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. • License Registered Nurse required. • Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required. • 3-5 years related work experience required in caring for surgical patients. • Strong analytic skills with quality and data analysis. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to work with a variety of personalities and disciplines. • Experience with interdisciplinary health care approach. • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
