Description

• Senior Principal Engineer with deep expertise in VMware compute and storage technologies. • Key player in designing, implementing, and optimizing virtualized environments. • Lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Ensure infrastructure is robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. • Oversee deployment and management of VMware environments, including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, etc. • Continuously evaluate and optimize performance, capacity, and reliability of compute and storage resources. • Serve as a technical leader and mentor within the infrastructure team. • Work closely with other IT teams for seamless integration of VMware solutions. • Maintain documentation of designs, configurations, and operational procedures. • Ensure VMware systems adhere to security policies and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on VMware technologies. • Extensive hands-on experience with VMware, vSphere, vSan, NSX and related tools. • Proven track record in designing and implementing complex network architectures. • Strong understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and software-defined storage. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. • Ability to effectively multitask. • Ability to write advanced technical documentation. • Must work well in a team environment. • Ability to learn independently. • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights/weekends. • Excellent verbal skills. • Education in leadership and or teambuilding. • Education in Project Management. • Advanced technical training or certifications related to scope of work. • Ability to motivate and inspire others. • Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Ansible. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid cloud architectures. • Deep knowledge of networking concepts, including VLANs, routing, and firewalls. • Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX).
