Description
• CACI is seeking a versatile and innovative Research and Development Engineer • Focus on tactical hardening for quantum technologies • Lead efforts in PKI migration from legacy to Post-Quantum systems • Set up, configure, and modify both Linux and Windows systems • Design, execute, and debug tests to evaluate product capabilities • Develop and implement ad hoc testing procedures • Prepare comprehensive reports on test results • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate hardening measures into quantum-resistant systems • Contribute to the configuration of test networks
Requirements
• Active Secret clearance is required • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related field • 10+ years of software engineering experience with Master's degree or 15+ years of experience with Bachelor's degree • Familiarity with Army tactical networks • Solid background in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is essential • Proficiency in setting up and configuring both Linux and Windows systems • Experience in software development and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) • Strong testing skills, including the ability to design, execute, and debug complex test scenarios • Demonstrated ability to perform ad hoc testing and develop new test methodologies • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively about complex challenges • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently, while also knowing when to seek assistance • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Basic understanding of quantum-resistant cryptography concepts (full quantum expertise is not required)
