β€’ Functions under the direction of the Supervisor Customer Service. β€’ Makes outbound calls and receives inbound calls regarding patient account balances. β€’ Responsible for account management, customer service, cash collection, and resolution of balances. β€’ Works with patients/responsible party to negotiate acceptable payment arrangements. β€’ Validates accuracy of self-pay balance and documents payment commitments. β€’ Answers calls regarding the Financial Assistance Program. β€’ Completes all duties while meeting productivity and quality expectations.

Requirements

β€’ High school diploma required. β€’ Minimum 3 years experience in a hospital, physicians office or related healthcare office environment required. β€’ 2 years in healthcare account management with customer service experience preferred. β€’ Basic knowledge of medical terminology. β€’ Basic experience and knowledge of PC applications. β€’ Detail-oriented, good organizational skills, and ability to be self-directed. β€’ Strong time management skills, managing multiple priorities in a high-stress atmosphere. β€’ Flexibility to perform other tasks as needed in an active work environment. β€’ High-level problem solving, analytical, and investigational skills. β€’ Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.
