• Avantus is shaping the future by making reliable, low-cost clean energy a global reality. • We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our Origination team. • The Vice President, Origination would join our team of Originators who source, negotiate, and execute Power Purchase Agreements. • The position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, unstructured environment, constantly collaborating with various internal and external teams. • The individual would ultimately be responsible for managing customer bids and meetings, performing various market analyses and supporting efforts to optimize new product structures.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in the energy industry. • Minimum four-year bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, MBA preferred. • Must have extensive experience in long term energy procurement structures and technologies. • Must have experience and knowledge of renewable generation technologies. • Must have knowledge of regulatory policies, rates and tariffs and electric transmission. • Proven ability to lead a team. • Solid understanding of economic drivers for renewable energy projects. • Independent self-starter who can meet deadlines and deliver quality products with minimal oversight. • Demonstrated ability to translate contracts into concise financial and economic analysis. • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership of work product. • Excellent personal organizational, pattern recognition, and negotiation skills.
