📋 Description

• Customer-facing senior technical team representative focused on Tier 1 IP network solutions • Requires strong understanding of Ciena Solutions and customer applications • Provides post-sales support of Ciena products • Responsible for providing assistance to customers and other Ciena regional engineers performing technical tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Support the customer in their daily activities (e.g., lab certification, product introduction, migrations) • Thoroughly engineer Ciena solutions for advanced customer applications across Tier 1 networks • Serve as expert technical customer contact for advanced technical issues • Manage customer requests and help coordinate technical activities • Assist in assessment of potential product features, providing input on prioritization • Assist in tracking of product deliverables and communicating issues to other Ciena regional teams • Assist in product acceptance test planning, coordination and test result reporting • Makes independent decisions on routine technical activities in accordance with company policy and procedures • Knowledge of Data Networking, Carrier Ethernet, IP/MPLS, IGP/BGP routing, Segment Routing, L3VPN and EVPN • Knowledge of 4G/5G wireless networking, xRAN, and front/mid/backhaul network systems including network synchronization • Familiarity with automation (e.g. python, ansible), analytics in networking operations • Familiar with next Gen management interfaces including NETCONF/YANG, gRPC, gNMI, etc • Familiarity with test equipment (packet capture tools, traffic generators, power meters, etc) • Strong PC and Unix skills are required including general knowledge of computers, MS Office applications and Unix operating environment • Software programming and scripting is a plus • Solution development and Problem solving skills • Project management, Time management, and organizational skills due to dynamic nature of activities • Excellent verbal and written communications as well as Excellent presentation skills • Professionalism in attitude, conduct, and appearance
