Description

• Conducts loss control surveys/physical inspections of commercial accounts • Provides accurate descriptions of insured's physical and operational details • Identifies hazards and potential loss exposures • Makes recommendations to eliminate or reduce potential loss • Consults with underwriters and staff regarding account acceptability • Conducts accident investigations • Employs sales and communication skills for compliance with recommendations • Provides safety and supervisory training to insureds • Maintains knowledge of company manuals, procedures, and relevant regulations • Provides technical advice and may assist in training new employees • May lead the work of others and be involved in talent decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Safety, Engineering, Insurance, Business or related discipline • 6 to 10 years of related experience • Certification in chosen expertise is a plus (CSP, CFPS, ARM, CSHMS, ALCM, OHST)
