• Collective is on a mission to revolutionize the way solopreneurs run their businesses. • We're looking for an experienced Product & Privacy Counsel to join our legal team. • You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the legal framework that enables innovation and growth. • Work hand-in-hand with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to build business-friendly solutions.
🎯 Requirements
• 5-8 years of legal experience, including at least 3+ years advising on FinTech product counseling, privacy compliance, and user-facing legal terms. • JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. • Strong expertise in U.S. privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, GLBA) and a pragmatic approach to compliance in a rapidly evolving tech landscape. • Proven ability to draft & maintain user-friendly legal terms that enhance trust and user experience. • A business-oriented mindset—you see legal as an enabler and can translate complex legal concepts into actionable strategies. • Experience working with frontier technologies (AI, machine learning, large language models) and understanding their legal implications. • Exceptional communication skills—you can explain nuanced legal issues to non-legal stakeholders in a way that’s engaging, concise, and practical. • A bias for action & ownership—you love solving problems, taking initiative, and working collaboratively in an agile startup environment.
