• Comun’s mission is to help Hispanic immigrants turn their hard work into upwards mobility — starting with financial services that enable the transition from cash to the digital economy. • The Controller is a leader responsible for the accounting, tax, and financial controls functions at Comun. • This role will define, implement, and manage the key infrastructure and processes for the Finance area and the overall company to scale successfully. • The Controller will work directly with Comun’s management to track company performance, strategic initiatives, and financial planning. • This role requires thinking strategically to prepare the company to significantly scale in the next few years and roll up your sleeves to manage the day-to-day operations.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred. • 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles • Required: experience in the fintech or financial services industry with exposure to credit products (such as loans, cash advances, credit cards, etc). • Preferred: experience in startups or high-growth environments. • Strong proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems. • Solid understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting standards. • Successfully led and closed at least 2 financial audits
