Description

• Lead the design of electrical power, lighting, life safety and security systems for commercial and K-12 educational buildings. • Develop detailed electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams and specifications. • Ensure designs comply with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations. • Manage electrical engineering projects from concept through completion. • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders. • Provide technical guidance and expertise in the selection of electrical systems. • Conduct detailed site inspections and assessments to ensure design feasibility and compliance. • Review, approve, sign and seal electrical engineering documents and deliverables. • Mentor and train junior engineers and support staff. • Interface with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related field. • Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably with prior K-12 design experience. • Professional Engineer (PE) license in State of Michigan required, or ability to obtain license via reciprocity • Demonstrated creative thinking, design ability, and technical proficiency
