Description

• This position is for a Director. • The position will be part of a team that assists life sciences companies build and manage privacy and data protection processes and programs, through analyzing and augmenting existing policies and procedures, enhancing internal privacy controls, and improving operational efficiencies. • The Director will be a key team member for all activities pertaining to Dovetail client engagements and internal Dovetail operations, including, where applicable, utilizing Microsoft Project for project planning and tracking, preparing client presentations, outlining findings and highlighting deliverables. • This individual will conduct privacy gap analyses, privacy impact and privacy (data protection) risk assessments, internal controls evaluations, privacy-related audits, privacy training sessions, client stakeholder interviews, strategic privacy management analyses, and advisory support pertaining to privacy and data protection. • The Director may also assist with Dovetail internal projects as well as non-privacy client needs, as needed, where the Director’s skills are transferable. • The Director will report to a Dovetail Partner.

Requirements

• Expertise in developing and implementing effective privacy management programs and programmatic elements to address global data protection and privacy requirements. • At least 7 years of experience working in a privacy function or function or department of a life sciences company responsible for or supporting privacy / data protection program oversight; • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint; • Collaborative and team oriented; • Strong time management skills, including time tracking across multiple clients / projects • Strong project management skills; • Strong communications skills, including both written and verbal; • Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills; • Graduate professional degree in a related field or JD; • Excellent, highly developed organizational and management skills; • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities without diminished effectiveness; • Ability to travel and to work overtime hours as needed; • Privacy certification by accredited privacy / data protection organization (e.g., IAPP - CIPP/US, CIPP/EU, CIPP/M); • Excellent PowerPoint presentation design skills strongly preferred.
