Description

• Lantern is seeking a VP, Public Sector Sales with a track record of success in building relationships and selling into state, local and education (SLED) organization. • The VP will leverage their expertise to expand the company's public sector presence and achieve sales and profitability goals. • This role requires a strategic mindset to manage long, complex sales cycles and lead effective presentations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of direct sales experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder solutions, ideally in the benefits space (SaaS, human capital management, health and welfare benefits, etc., preferred) • 5+ years of direct sales experience specific to Public Sector • Resilience to withstand long lead times and government budgeting and procurement practices • Crisp written and verbal communicator with the demonstrated ability to articulate complex ideas to a wide-ranging audience • Self-starter with ability to work independently, prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within tight time constraints • Ability to establish strong team relationships and collaborate in a matrix organization as well as develop solutions proactively and independent of supervision • Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance against goals • Bachelors degree required
