Description

• Lead the planning and execution of Electrochaea’s campaign to deliver a portfolio of methanation plants in Québec, with potential expansion across North America • Collaborate with our Québecois business developer and engineering team (based in North America and Germany) to identify and build partnerships with clients, EPCs, engineering firms, and service providers for rapid market entry • Participate in developing a market strategy for our standardized methanation technology for Québec and other Provinces • Identify and engage project developers, participants in the hydrogen industry, and suppliers to accelerate market penetration • Managing risks related to technical issues, permitting issues, regulatory concerns, customer needs, and commercial analysis • Build relationships with decision-makers in sectors relevant to our technology such as electricity, natural gas, biogas, landfill, wastewater, pulp and paper, industrial polluters etc. • Drive all aspects of product definition including business case analysis, feasibility studies, sourcing of local engineering partners, permitting aspects • Represent Electrochaea at key industry events and expand and maintain a network of local contacts

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in business development in the energy or gas sector • Master's degree in business, engineering, or related field • Strong project management and commercial understanding • Experience in renewable energy or (bio)methanation is a plus • Excellent communication skills with experience in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic environment • Excellent written and verbal French and English skills • Self-motivated, highly organized, and with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to travel within the Québec province and the rest of Canada • Willing to travel to Germany and the US for team-related activities several times per year

• Healthcare: Up to CDN$470 per month (not taxable) for Medical/Health Care Insurance • Premium reimbursement upon submission of monthly Medical/Health Insurance premium invoices • Wellness Program: Stipend of CDN$318 gross (taxable) to support health and wellness programs at the discretion of the employee. • 401K/RRSP: You will have the opportunity to contribute on a pre-tax basis to a 401K/RRSP savings plan; beginning with contributions made on the one-year anniversary of your employment, the company will provide a dollar-for-dollar match of your contributions to the 401K/RRSP up to 1% of salary • Home office stipend: One-time payment of CDN$4,000 to furnish and otherwise establish your workspace. This one-time payment will be fully taxable and any purchases will be owned by you • Employee expenses for telecom, Wifi, and related communications expenses will be reimbursed at a rate of CDN$500/month gross (taxable)
