Description

• Responsible for executing the day-to-day accounting operations • Process and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, cash and credit card management • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations • Perform month- and year-end reconciliation and closing activities, analyze and interpret financial data • Collaborate with other departments, and prepare detailed financial reports and statements • Support budget and forecasting activities, providing variance analysis and insightful commentary • Prepare for and support the annual financial audits, coordinating with external auditors • Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control procedures • Provide training and support to ensure smooth transitions and compliance with new procedures • Collaborate with other teams to support the company's growth initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification preferred • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, data analytics, and internal controls / policies development • Experience overseeing dynamic, multiple million-dollar budgets and financial processes • Experience with nonprofit accounting and bookkeeping • Proficiency in accounting software (i.e., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) required; payment processing, and digital fundraising platforms preferred • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (i.e., PIVOT tables, advanced formulas for analytics) and computer skills • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities adhering to internal and external deadlines is required • Detail-oriented individual with a high work ethic and the ability to work independently • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills required • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
