Description

• Family Promise seeks a Director of Programs to lead national programming to prevent and end family homelessness. • Provide in-depth support and coaching to the national network of Family Promise sites regarding core programming of prevention, shelter and emergency services, stabilization, and housing. • Serve as the primary trainer to the network of approximately 200 affiliate sites and focus on scaling the organization’s programs, ensuring best-in-class program quality. • Ensure incorporation of voices of those with lived homelessness experience into program design.

Requirements

• Commitment to preventing and ending family homelessness • Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in program development and implementation, ideally in the homelessness or housing sector or adjacent basic needs • Experience with nonprofit best practices such as housing first, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and lowering barriers • Growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, nonprofit management, or relevant work experience • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and leadership skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders inside and outside of the organization • Ability to analyze data, spot trends, and integrate them into future programming
