• Go-To-Market Strategy: Utilize strategic planning techniques such as SWOT to identify growth opportunities, analyze competition and develop sales and marketing campaigns to drive sales growth and market share gain. • Product Evangelist: Provide technical expertise and market knowledge to support the sales team in effectively positioning solutions and presenting the optimal solution for the customer; act as the product evangelist to build excitement and confidence and mindshare across the sales team by providing relevant and accurate product knowledge and competitive insights. • Trusted Advisor: Working through the sales team develop and strengthen relationships with key customers by becoming their trusted advisor; engage proactively to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that drive long-term customer success. • Sales & Marketing Support: Collaborate with the sales team to support the development and execution of winning sales strategies. Drive initiatives such as product promotions, customer education, and solution-based selling. • Sales Performance Analysis: Leverage tools such as Salesforce CRM to analyze KPIs such as sales performance against plan and pipeline health and development; make course corrections based on the analytics provided by working across the organization. • Industry Representation: Represent GCG at trade shows, industry events, and customer presentations. Actively showcase product innovation and present technical and commercial advantages of GCG’s industrial automation solutions. • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with supply chain, and operations to ensure that product availability and delivery meet customer expectations. Lead initiatives to optimize inventory, reduce lead times, and enhance the overall customer experience. • Mentorship & Development: Mentor and support sales and technical teams on product applications and industry trends; develop and facilitate training materials to improve the technical competence and sales effectiveness of the team. • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor offerings; use this knowledge to continuously refine GCG’s industrial automation and product positioning.
• Minimum of 7+ years of technical experience working with industrial automation solutions such as PLC & I/O, HMI, drives, motion control, and industrial networks/fieldbuses; business development and / or product management experience considered a requirement. • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead initiatives without direct authority. • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions tailored to customer needs. • Experience using CRM systems and analytics to manage sales activities, analyze trends, and drive data-informed decisions. • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field/function is preferred. • Willingness to travel 50% within the Midwest region.
