β€’ The CAD Administrator supports project teams through application of expert CAD knowledge and other BIM techniques. β€’ Maintains, provides technical user support and troubleshoots issues related to Autodesk Architecture and other software platforms. β€’ Creates training materials and provides support for users to increase skills and productivity. β€’ Performs user support duties: assists with development of a standards manual, coordinates and distributes revisions to standards, handles CAD-related problems, troubleshoots issues, guides callers to solutions. β€’ Reviews network and systems diagnostics, verifies backups, runs error message programs, logs into work station, runs down errors, solves problems. β€’ Performs systems programming based on operating systems: attends management meetings, updates systems for efficiency, sends updates to departments, corrects additional problems. β€’ Coordinates CAD systems software maintenance as required. β€’ Completes CAD systems training activities, trains new CAD employees and advanced developers, maintains training documentation. β€’ Investigates options for future upgrades and plans for future CAD stations and network expansions. β€’ Remains up-to-date with technical advances by reading technical magazines, testing new software versions. β€’ Obtains quotes from vendors for CAD systems purchases. β€’ Provides feedback on project-based activities to the CAD/BIM team. β€’ Supports development of BIM standards and content for specific disciplines. β€’ Acts as leader and mentor by coaching project team members in advanced BIM technologies. β€’ Fosters commitment to external and internal client service. β€’ Utilizes knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, and optimization for architectural designs.

Requirements

β€’ Advanced knowledge in building information modeling programs and applicable techniques. β€’ Expertise in Autodesk Architecture, Revit and other BIM tools required. β€’ Proficiency in MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel required. β€’ Experience with programming/scripting languages such as: C#, Java, VBA, Python preferred. β€’ Experience with web development using: HTML, CSS, JavaScript preferred. β€’ Ability to effectively meet and accommodate deadlines on multiple projects. β€’ Ability to work in a team environment. β€’ Ability to perform tasks quickly and accurately in stressful situations. β€’ Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework. β€’ Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. β€’ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and provide timely feedback and guidance to the Design Team.
