📋 Description

• The Process Excellence Manager is responsible for driving multi plant process excellence across residential and asphaltic roll roofing facilities. • This role provides technical process support across multiple plants and product lines to drive OEE and MUV year over year improvements. • The Process Manager works closely with Operations leadership, Plant personnel, R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain. • Work within the Communities of Practice (CoP) to establish Best Practices development and sharing. • Drive adoption at the plants, celebrate successes, and build the GBS library for recommended practices. • Strengthen the Communities of Practice and utilize talent across the network to lead troubleshooting efforts, sharing of knowledge, and communication between plants to improve performance. • Partner with plants to identify savings opportunities by benchmarking with other plants and utilizing the network for improvement. • Establish relationships with external process and equipment experts to identify standard instrumentation and equipment, and recommended maintenance standards for the plant systems. • Collaborate with Corporate teams and Plants to execute new technology solutions. • Establish process and troubleshooting benchmarks based on interplant experiences so that the network will gain OEE improvements. • Work with plants to identify continuous improvement opportunities to increase OEE and/or reduce costs; drive to completion. • Drive raw material trial coordination between the plants and supply chain to qualify backup supplies or cost savings. • Support safety and HAZOP initiatives and identify opportunities during plant visits. • Provide expertise and utilize the CoP to address plant quality issues or large claims. • Drive adoption of process improvement tools (SPC, Process Building Blocks, Braincube, Fishbone Diagrams, KT, MVT, data analysis, etc.). • Coach and mentor technical and process teams to establish bench strength within the network. • Perform other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Required • 6+ years of demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment. • Advanced demonstrated communications skills; written, verbal, and listening skills • Advanced analytical skills • Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail – able to plan, execute, and control multiple tasks simultaneously • Advanced problem solving skills • Advanced communication skills across multiple levels of the organization both with technical as well as managerial teams. • Advanced Leadership skills in developing new techniques and processes for data analysis • Demonstrated hands-on experience • Strong ability to influence and drive cross-functional and cross-plant decisions and initiatives • Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings • Advanced proficiency using root cause analysis to troubleshoot and solve problems • Advanced ability to translate technical data into a format/language suitable for personnel • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing analysis tools, such as statistical analysis/statistical process control (SPC), process capability studies, lean manufacturing, Kepner Tregoe, and/or Design of Experiments (DOE) • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite
