• Reporting to the Program Director, Galileo X, the Expansion Program Manager is responsible for launching new camp locations in underserved or geographically isolated areas. • As the go-to "Starter PM," you will help establish Galileo’s presence in new regions. • Your role involves overseeing the operational setup, training local camp directors, and ensuring that all logistical and cultural aspects of Galileo’s camps are implemented smoothly. • New Territory Development: Travel to these new areas to ensure the successful setup of all operations. • Pre-Season: Expect to travel 3-5 trips between February -June for partner meetings and initial facility set up. • Camp Season: Be the primary on site manager and first point of contact for new camp locations in isolated regions. • Training and Support: Train local Camp Directors and staff, ensuring they understand Galileo’s culture, operational standards, and programming. • Regional Expansion Expertise: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, prepare, and execute expansion strategies in new areas. • Operational Oversight: Oversee the logistical and day-to-day operations of new camp locations during the summer season. • Team Leadership: Serve as a direct supervisor, mentor, and coach for a team of Camp Directors. • Pinch Point Planning: Proactively plan for and identify potential pinch points. • Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with various departments to customize operations for new camp territories.
• 3+ years multi-site management experience in youth programming is required. • 2+ years of direct management of on-site teams of at least 20 staff. • Proven experience with launching and managing multi-site programs. • Willingness to travel and work in isolated regions for 6-8 weeks during the summer season. • Professional examples of strong leadership and proactive problem-solving skills.
