Description

• Provide commercially oriented, practical and strategic legal advice and guidance to the business in relation to all aspects of complex and high value third party agreements (in particular those with a technology focus) • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of agreements related to technology, software, SaaS, payments, e-commerce, consulting, transportation and logistics services • Negotiate and draft agreements related to strategic partnerships, joint development, IP acquisitions, and privacy • Provide strategic legal and business advice to facilitate long-term relationships with key business partners • Manage numerous projects and complex matters simultaneously under deadline pressure • Support Head of Commercial Contracts Legal as appropriate in the evolution of our contract process and policies including use of tools and databases or trackers to drive towards efficiencies and productivity.

Requirements

• JD Required; Licensed to practice law in the US with 7+ years of experience in a reputable law firm and/or multinational companies required; in house experience greatly preferred. • Experience in drafting, negotiating, counseling and problem solving a broad range of commercial transactions in particular agreements related to technology, software, SaaS, payments, e-commerce is a prerequisite. • Experience with some or all of other types of agreements such as transportation and logistics, marketing and advertising, consulting and services, talent and partnerships is highly desirable. • In-house experience and/or retail, commercial or consumer products, privacy experience (with knowledge of U.S. state and UK/EU privacy laws, Generative AI, and AdTech) a plus. • Practical mindset with the demonstrated ability to provide strategic counseling to business partners that balances legal considerations and business objectives, cutting through complexities deftly and driving to solutions. • Excellent communication, collaboration, counseling, decision making, problem solving and influencing skills. • Emotional intelligence and ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels and effectively navigate complex organizations. • Ability to handle multiple complex matters concurrently and often under time pressure, and effectively prioritize work to efficiently achieve business objectives. • Excellent judgment and integrity with a demonstrated commitment to inclusion, diversity and community involvement/pro-bono work.
