Description

• Support a federal agency’s communication workflows and document production • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and visual appeal for materials and web content • Adhere to Section 508 accessibility standards • Review and proofread content for grammar, punctuation, and style • Maintain high-level attention to detail for error-free publications • Design and produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts • Advise leadership on technical challenges and publication issues • Educate and train staff on design, layout, branding, and accessibility • Research images for use in publications • Post cleared materials to the agency website using Drupal

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field • Requires 6 years of relevant experience • Extensive experience with graphic design and desktop publishing • Proficient with Adobe Creative suite applications, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator • Experience with web content management software, such as Drupal and utilizing SEO best practices • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and web-based platforms such as SharePoint or Teams • Expertise in Section 508 remediation and in using tools to ensure compliance • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • Highly productive with minimal direct supervision
