• GEICO is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Commercial Insurance Engineering • You will build and manage a team of engineers with a focus on delivering Commercial Insurance products • Help drive our insurance business transformation • Co-create the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Proven management experience leading teams of 6+ engineers • Strong background in delivering digital - web and/or mobile - products at scale • Ability to prioritize and drive results based on business value to the organization • Fluency with at least one modern language such as Python, Java and experience with open-source software is a big plus • Strong critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to concentrate and demonstrate a capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly • Strong Cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure etc.) platform knowledge • Proficiency in Project Management and work item management tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts • Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to both Senior Leadership, highly technical and non-technical audiences • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and build and release practices in commercial insurance
