📋 Description

• Perform a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of GE drive systems at site locations. • Perform troubleshooting activities at site locations to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implements corrective actions • Develop requisite documentation to execute work e.g. commissioning procedures, maintenance procedures daily logs etc. • Be capable of working unsupervised and leading small teams • Execute on site project management and technical leader duties to resolve customer issues and provide customer satisfaction • Develop presentations and provides training and instruction to customers on drive operations • Coordinate additional opportunities to serve the customer with the customer service team, parts, other FSE’s, repair services, sales, and product engineering teams • Advise the customer of recommended upgrades, parts, and service opportunities to improve customer productivity and sell GE parts and services • Coordinate maintenance activities for the customer and planning for inspections • Provide support to engineering teams working on customer modernization projects. • Provide support the bidding process for the customer modernization projects. • Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service • Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements • Perform work on-board vessels within GE / Customer safety guidelines either in shipyards or offshore. • Extended hours / overtime maybe required during peak periods and emergency circumstances. • Domestic or overseas travel to customer sites for extended periods of time.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum 5 additional years of related industry experience) • Minimum 5 years of field service and/or commissioning experience • Ability and willingness to travel up to 85% of the time​ on short notice • Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels offshore • Must be able to pass a HUET and offshore survival course which includes activities in a swimming pool
