📋 Description
• Hims & Hers is seeking a Director of Government & Regulatory Affairs to lead and execute its federal policy and regulatory engagement strategy. • This role will focus on interacting with federal agencies, the Administration, and the White House to shape policies that impact the company’s business and industry. • Reporting to the Vice President of Policy & Regulatory Initiatives, the Director will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to advocate for policies that support innovation, access, patient choice, affordability, and regulatory clarity. • The candidate will have experience in government affairs and public policy working in disruptive industries, telehealth, pharmacy regulation, or healthcare compliance. • Must have experience engaging with or working in federal regulatory agencies, Congressional Committees, the White House, and/or policy-focused Administration officials (e.g. Domestic Policy Council). • Knowledge of health IT, prescription drug regulation, and digital health policies, and familiarity with OMB review processes, budget policy, and federal reimbursement structures are a plus.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Government Administration, Health Policy or other relevant field • 10+ years working in federal policy or government affairs, preferably in disruptive emerging industries, as well as experience working in the federal government or Congress in policy developing and engagement roles. • Experience in federal government affairs and trade association engagement, with a focus on agency and administration advocacy • Expertise in engaging with FDA, FTC, HHS, CMS, and/or DEA on regulatory and policy issues is preferred. • Strong understanding of federal rulemaking processes, executive orders, and administrative actions. • Experience drafting and/or editing public comments, regulatory filings, and strategic policy documents. • Expert communicator with strong writing and editing skills • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills • Proven ability to build relationships across government agencies, White House policy offices, and industry coalitions. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory issues into actionable strategies
