Description
• Analyze and develop troubleshooting and documenting solutions throughout the development cycle • Develop custom scripts related to the Banner Student Information System • Provide support for integration work between Banner and other systems • Gather partner requirements, analyze functional requirements • Create scalable scripts and applications that further adoption and usage of the Banner SIS • Advise business departments on automation of their business process • Design inter-system data integrations using commercial and custom solutions • Lead development efforts on products or product features • Use Agile or other prescribed methodology • Participate in important diagnostic work • Support project planning and execution with established methodologies • Lead peer and code reviews
Requirements
• 7+ years relevant experience • Relevant experience includes clear demonstration of development expertise and successful development skills • Banner Student Information System Required • Knowledge of core development tools/languages (SQL, Python, PHP) • Experience with higher education concepts and technical impact • Understanding of Software/System Development Lifecycle • Familiarity with performance testing and tuning approaches • Experience documenting system technical specifications and test specifications • Experience generating reports using SQL • Additional experience with: Certifications such as SQL and other languages/coding certifications • Bachelors Degree(s) in related field and experience • Experience cost-benefit and Return on investment analysis techniques • Experience in root-cause analysis for troubleshooting problems
