📋 Description

• Kasa is looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking accounting leader to join us as the Head of Accounting and Financial Reporting. We’re seeking a Leader who doesn’t just manage accounting processes but actively rethinks and optimizes them. • The role is ideal for someone who is energized by the opportunity to build automation, eliminate inefficiencies, and introduce scalable financial reporting solutions. • You will lead our corporate and property-level accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for Kasa’s property partners and investors. • More importantly, you’ll be responsible for modernizing our accounting function—introducing automation, refining reconciliation processes, and implementing scalable solutions that make our finance team more effective as we grow. • From refining reconciliation workflows to implementing technology-driven reporting solutions, your work will directly contribute to Kasa’s continued growth and operational excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• Requirement: At least 10 years of experience leading accounting/reporting teams in the hotel or real estate industry • Nice to have: Experience working with product/tech teams to develop creative solutions to legacy accounting processes and excitement for disrupting the “status quo” of manual accounting processes • Requirement: Significant experience with hotel management agreement reporting standards (USALI and GAAP), lease accounting, and familiarity with ownership structures common in the commercial real estate industry • Requirement: Experience with corporate company-level reporting, including GAAP financial reporting, equity accounting, and corporate KPI analysis. • Nice to have: CPA license • Nice to have: Experience using Netsuite, Adaptive Insights (Workday), SQL or Looker. • Nice to have: Experience crafting new reporting and reconciliation processes for complex customer sales • Nice to have: Public company and/or venture-backed company reporting experience • Nice to have: Fluent in Spanish (frequent interaction with Kasa Mexico team) • Key Values: Highest degree of integrity, energized by complex problem solving, thinking outside the box, willing to “roll up your sleeves”, empathetic leader, and confident communicator.
