• This is a remote position • The Project Manager is also expected to fully manage all aspects of each assigned project including phasing, coordinating product for order and supply, proposing/writing/submitting/obtaining change orders, minimizing credits/returns/internals, handling project issues, communicating with contractors/trades, and delivering projects within the organization’s financial expectations. • Knowledge of project and requirements: job file, contract, budget, FSC/LEED/BAA, and any other project-related information provided from Estimating, Scheduling, specifications, etc. • Determine project timeline and required dates for material; map out a plan to achieve the project’s schedule • Complete field verification and attend job site/project/trade coordination meetings when needed • Review returned shop drawings and submittals; coordinate required changes with Scheduling until approved by the contractor • Provide ship-to information and required dates to Purchasing and Shipping/Receiving departments • Manage phasing of material as required per approved schedules • Problem-solve with contractors or colleagues on project issues, changes, etc. and provide ongoing product and application knowledge and support • Prepare and submit project change order proposals to the contractor, including project detail, lead time, and pricing • Handle product warranty issues and back charges, following organization policy and procedure • Align work schedule to be available for regional teams for assigned projects • Travel domestically to project sites as needed to build, and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Minimum six years Door, Frame, & Hardware industry experience • Strong knowledge of applicable products and methodologies for product application in the Door, Frame & Hardware industry including material types, hardware specifications, installation methods, etc. • Ability to work independently with only 15% involvement of a mentor to guide assigned tasks and help determine next steps • Excellent oral/written communication skills • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software including, but not limited to Pro-Tech, a full suite of Microsoft products, and a general understanding of product lifecycle management. • High level of interpersonal skills and customer relations skills to handle a variety of situations. • Position continually requires demonstrated professionalism, adaptability, flexibility, and dependability • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service and handling complaints, settling disputes, negotiating terms/pricing, and resolving various issues • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and evaluate complex problems, review related information and develop solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems, determine the best approach or option and implement solutions • General knowledge of mathematic applications including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, fractions, and ratios • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail • Position requires a valid driver’s license and being insurable to drive
