Description

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for achieving LPL Financials’ public policy objectives. • Build and reinforce trusted relationships with Congress, the Administration, and key stakeholders. • Monitor government initiatives and advocate for specific public policies to advance the company’s and client objectives. • Represent the company at government forums (official and political) and industry group meetings. • Draft hearing summaries and other written content for distribution to LPL stakeholders. • Measure and analyze quantifiable data for future planning of public policy initiatives.

Requirements

• 6 + years previous work experience in public policy, financial services, or political preferred. • Bachelor’s degree is required • Strong influencing skills and proven ability to manage politically sensitive policy issues. • Strong planning, organization, and decision-making capabilities; must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, resolve conflicts and solve problems with minimum supervision. • Working knowledge of tax, financial services and/or wealth management issues. • Demonstrated decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. • Track record of establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. • Should have adaptability and willingness to take on a wide variety of new tasks and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment. • Detail-oriented. • Effective written, presentation and persuasion skills. • Ability to communicate with all levels of internal associates, external vendors, and business partners. • Ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Should have strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with members of senior management. • Must be willing to travel as needed. • Advanced degree preference.
