Description
• Supports clinical vision for health plans • Provides clinical leadership to Medical Management team • Ensures coordinated care for complex cases • Develops and implements Utilization Management programs • Evaluates UM practices and criteria • Confers with practitioners regarding patient care • Responsible for investigation of adverse incidents • Maintains licensure requirements for various states
Requirements
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree OR Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree OR Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) international degree • Successful completion of United States based internship and residency • Successful completion of the ECFMG and FLEX examinations • Full training in a residency program in the United States or Canada approved by the ACGME • Minimum of three years of substantial direct patient care • Unrestricted current and valid license or certification to practice medicine in a state or territory of the United States
