• The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing multiple distributors within the region and achieving the region's financial strategic goals. • Works with the distribution sales team to prepare revenue objectives and goals for the assigned territories. • Travel with distributors to understand the market needs; utilize voice of customer, market mapping, and other marketing techniques. • Evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region’s sales volume and ensure compliance with all appropriate policies. • Provide leadership to the distributor sales team; motivate and encourage the sales team to ensure quotas are met. • Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of distributor sales managers/territory managers. • Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short and long-term sales strategies. • Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. • Maintain relationships with relevant trade associations. • Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations. • Acts as company representative at trade meetings or shows • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, Business Administration or Marketing preferred. • Sales leadership experience • Experience in Rail preferred but not required.... heavy equipment sales and working with distributor channels is relevant • Technical / Mechanical Sales Experience a plus • Five or more years of sales experience required.
