• Area Sales Manager • Home-based covering Yorkshire (BD, DN, HD, HG, HU, HX, LS, S, WF, YO, SK17, DE45, LN7) • Competitive salary, Car allowance & Benefits • At Marley, we’re not just part of the UK roofing industry—we lead it! • As the most recognised brand in pitched roof systems, Marley is synonymous with innovation, sustainability, and quality. • With over a century of expertise, we’re the trusted partner for architects, contractors, and roofing professionals across the country. • And now, as part of Marshalls plc—the UK’s premier manufacturer of hard landscaping and building products—our combined legacy and reputation have never been stronger. • Our leadership position in the market is bolstered by our industry-first products and dedicated team, and thanks to an internal promotion, we’re looking for an Area Sales Manager to champion sales in Yorkshire. • This is your chance to make a real impact in a region with huge potential, where you’ll be building on Marley’s unparalleled brand strength to grow and solidify key customer relationships. • Armed with Marley’s trusted name and innovative products, you’ll have the autonomy to sell and add value across Yorkshire. • Your focus will be to develop new business while strengthening Marley’s extensive network of clients. • Key responsibilities include: • Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships, balancing growth with Marley’s long-standing reputation. • Specification Sales: Target and influence key specifiers and contractors to integrate Marley products into their projects, leveraging Marley’s position as an industry leader. • Account Management: Lead negotiations, develop custom business plans, and consistently meet regional sales targets. • Project Pipeline: Proactively build and manage a strong pipeline, ensuring early pre-tender engagement to present Marley’s compelling solutions. • Planning & Forecasting: Attend regular meetings across the region and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts to support strategic planning and growth. • This role is an opportunity to drive growth with a market-leading brand. • Bring your entrepreneurial mindset, challenge expectations, and contribute to Marley's continued success in setting the standard for roofing solutions!

Requirements

• A passion for your customers, ensuring they are at the heart of all you do • Excellent interpersonal skills • The ability to achieve targets through planning, analysis, strategic implementation, and commercial acumen • Excellent organisational skills • The ability to support, influence, and enthuse • Energy, with a clear ambition to progress and a passion for learning • Experience in external sales • Exposure to Specification or Technical Sales would be a bonus • Experience using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to develop value-added presentations • In this regional role, you’ll need to live on patch, have a UK driving licence, your own car and be willing to travel within the patch covering Yorkshire. (a company car allowance is provided as part of your package)
