β€’ Be the technical manufacturing process expert interface between Medtronic and contract manufacturers. β€’ Execute problem solving and analytical tools to find a root cause investigation when contract manufacturers need it. β€’ Interact and work with OU RPE to promote process improvements required on contract manufacturers. β€’ Leading multi-functional teams through complex projects from planning to completion. β€’ Actively manage project portfolio of process improvements on contract manufacturers. β€’ Identify the tasks and create timelines of projects for process improvements on contract manufacturers. β€’ Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. β€’ Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. β€’ Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance. β€’ Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. β€’ May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. β€’ Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. β€’ Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques. β€’ Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. β€’ Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Requirements

β€’ Bachelors degree required. β€’ Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. β€’ Excellent problem solving and analytical skills on manufacturing process and circuit analysis. β€’ Prior medical device experience. β€’ Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation). β€’ Experience in lean manufacturing. β€’ Self-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passion.
